TiPS® GAMING TRAINING

(Training for Intervention ProcedureS)

A global leader in education and training for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol. Proven effective by third-party studies. TiPS® is a skills-based training program that is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.

Program Duration: 5.0 hours

Program Cost: $85.00 per participant

Program Location: At designated location; includes travel within 50-mile radius

Target Audience: casinos, gaming halls, riverboats, and any other establishment where the stakes are high.

The Challenges: People often enjoy a special excitement when visiting casinos. They sometimes play it close to the edge, even though there are some bets that aren't worth taking.  Within this arena, special challenges often arise - drinkers may lose track with complimentary cocktails and, since they often stay on property and don't have to drive home, they may not moderate their own drinking as they otherwise would.

The Solution: TiPS® for Gaming teaches staff how to recognize when a guest is intoxicated or underage. In addition to preventing the illegal sale of alcohol, casino employees learn how to handle patrons who have had too much and keep them from harming themselves and others.

Additional Benefits: TiPS® training can also improve business and community relations. TiPS® certification demonstrates a commitment to prevent alcohol-related problems and a desire to be part of the solution in society's fight against drunkenness. Liquor boards and local authorities tend to look favorably on establishments that incorporate TiPS®, which can lead to more lenient penalties in the event of an alcohol violation. TiPS® for Gaming can also help an establishment protect itself from possible litigation and often results in reduced liability insurance premiums.

Cost for TiPS® Gaming Training includes the training manual, exam processing, and retention of all certification records for 3-years.
