TiPS® OFF PREMISE TRAINING

(Training for Intervention ProcedureS)

A global leader in education and training for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol. Proven effective by third-party studies. TiPS® is a skills-based training program that is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.

Program Duration: 3.0 hours

Program Cost: $65.00 per participant

Program Location: At designated location. Travel included in cost within a 30-mile radius.

Target Audience: grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations, and convenience stores.

The Challenges: Even when alcohol is sold "to go" employees may encounter alcohol-related problems. Clerks must be especially careful not sell alcohol to  underage or intoxicated customers and they usually have little time to assess the situation when making the sale.

The Solution: TiPS® Off Premise teaches staff how to recognize when a customer is intoxicated or underage. In addition to preventing the legal sale of alcohol, store employees learn how to handle intoxicated  customers and keep them from harming themselves and others. The intervention techniques reflect the short period of time a clerk has to interact with a customer.

Additional Benefits: TiPS® training can also improve business and community relations. TiPS® certification demonstrates a commitment to prevent alcohol-related problems and a desire to be part of the solution in society's fight against buzz drinking and drunkenness. Liquor boards and local authorities tend to look favorably on establishments that incorporate TiPS®, which can lead to more lenient penalties in the event of an alcohol violation. TiPS® Off Premise can also help an establishment protect itself from possible litigation and often results in reduced liability insurance premiums.

Cost for TiPS® Off Premise Training includes the training manual, exam processing, and retention of all certification records for 3-years.
